Shibukawa Keiki TEM-42E analog edgewise panel meter
Shibukawa Keiki TEM-42E analog edgewise panel meter
The Shibukawa Keiki / Kuwano Electrical Instruments TEM-42E is a compact analog edgewise panel meter designed for precise industrial process monitoring. It is widely used as a receiving indicator for 4–20 mA DC signals from transmitters in marine, offshore, and automation systems.
This meter operates on a moving coil mechanism, where current flowing through the coil generates a magnetic field that deflects the needle. It is calibrated specifically for 4–20 mA process signals, making it ideal for direct connection with transmitters measuring pressure, flow, level, or temperature.
Unlike standard meters starting at 0 mA, this unit begins at 4 mA (“live zero”), ensuring:
•Fault detection (0 mA = signal failure)
•Improved measurement reliability
•Accurate low-end readings
Typical Applications
•Marine control panels (thruster systems, VRCS)
•Offshore platforms instrumentation
•Valve position monitoring systems
•Industrial automation panels
•Power plants and refineries
•HVAC and process control systems
•Tank level and flow monitoring
